Ink Hotel Amsterdam (Conversion and Re-Design)

The story of the building played an important role in reconstructing AccorHotels’ Ink Hotel – since the newspaper “De Tijd” was located there.  The hotel does not only owe its name to its former owner. References to newspaper printing, e. g. in the shape of large letters on the wall behind the reception, can be found everywhere.  Each of the 149 hotel rooms tells the story of the hotel and the neighbourhood using extensive graphics as a wall decoration.

ZOKU Amsterdam (Europe premiere)

After its successful premiere in Amsterdam, Zoku is already working on further projects in Europe. The hotel concept especially addresses business travellers, with the purpose of connecting work and life under one roof. However, most of it takes place above the roofs of Amsterdam: on the top floor of the building. Concrete’s Design Team came up with several ideas to enable a stay that feels almost more comfortable than home.

QO Amsterdam – hotel property of the year 2018 (presentation and lunch)

In the recently developed city district Amstelkwartier of the Dutch capital a new hotel from IHG has opened and is set to take new paths concerning sustainability. As a result it may be Europe’s first hotel with LEED platinum certification. The concept also persuaded the jury of “The Hotel Property of the Year”. In 2018 the hotel won the award.

Nhow Amsterdam (visit of the construction area)

This year the Dutch capital is looking forward to a brand premiere. While the NH group is already well represented by its other brands, it is working on the youngest offspring of the Spanish hotel group: the nhow Amsterdam RAI. Following Nhow Rotterdam, it is going to be the second one in the Netherlands and the first one in Amsterdam.

Leonardo Royal Amsterdam (New Opening Spring 2019)

At the end of the day a visit of the first Leonardo Royal Hotel in the Netherlands is on the agenda. It has opened in April 2019. A special feature among the 490 hotel rooms and suites are women friendly rooms. The impressive building is located right by a river and counts 18 floors. On the second floor, there is a roof garden about 600 sqm. The design concept is maritime and captures the city of Amsterdam in colonial days.
